WEST INDIES SET 212-RUN TARGET FOR BANGLADESH

Bangladesh spinners dominated yet again, sharing eight wickets between them, to restrict the formidable West Indies batting line-up to meagre 211 for 9 in their stipulated 50 overs in the ongoing fourth ODI at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur today.

West Indies' top order was exposed yet again by the Bangladesh spinners, as the tourists lost four wickets for just eight runs, to leave the side reeling at 81 for 5 at the halfway stage, leaving it to the lower order to rebuild the innings. Skipper Darren Sammy top scored for the visitors with an unbeaten 60 off just 62 deliveries, laced with five fours and two sixes. Darren Bravo (34), Marlon Samuels (27) and Kieran Powell (26) were the other notable performers, while the rest of the batting line-up fell for scores inside 16.

Mahmudullah led the Bangladesh spin attack with three wickets for 46 runs, while left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak and Elias Sunny picked up two wickets apiece. Sohag Gazi caught and bowled Darren Bravo, while Mashrafe Mortaza, the only pacer in the attack, accounted for the big man, Chris Gayle.

The Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Zaka Ashraf has expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements for the Pakistan cricket team ahead of the limited-overs series against India later this month.

"We are not worried about any security issues because we are certain that the Indian board and government will provide the best possible security for our players," Ashraf said while speaking to media reporters in Karachi today.

Pakistan cricket team is scheduled to tour India to play two T20 Internationals and three One Day Internationals against the hosts between December 25 and January 7 next year. A PCB delegation, including a senior official from interior ministry, is currently touring the neighbouring country to assess the security arrangements for the Pakistan team at the venues for the five matches, and to coordinate other issues with the Indian authorities.
