1st Match, BPL-T20 Dhaka Gladiators win by 62-run

Dhaka Gladiators defeated Khulna Royals Bengals by 62 runs in the first match of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Twenty20 match at Shere Bangla National Stadium in city’s Mirpur Friday.


Khulna Royals Bengals scored 142 for eight wickets in stipulated over while chasing Dhaka Gladiators-set 205-run target.

MH Wessels, Asif Ahmed, Nazimuddin scored 30, 29 and 27 runs respectively. While Mosharraf Hossain got four wickets and Lokuarachchi bagged two.

Earlier Dhaka Gladiators scored 204 runs losing four wickets in the stipulated over.

OA Shah, Anamul Haque, Shakib Al Hasan and Mohammad Ashraful scored 84, 50, 27 and 22 runs respectively.

Dolar Mahmud of Khulna Royals bagged three wickets and Farhad Reza got one.

Earlier in the day Dhaka Gladiators won the toss and elected to bat first.
